Family Friendly activity for the 4th of July

Toddler Thursday

Happy Fourth Of July!!!

When it comes to the Fourth of July every year there are firework accidents. Some which are serious and others are minor owies! This year we are playing it safe!!!
We have decided to make our very own Firework Batons.
Its a fun activity to do with the kids
Quick easy and importantly its SAFE!

SO gather your little ones and make your very own hand held Firework wands. Its fun and easy.
Helps build that Bond
What you will need

  • Themed ribbon (red, white, blue, silver and some with patterns)
  • A couple of sticks  (you can find the flag pole sticks at a craft store and where from .99-$2.00)
  • Glue (recommend: hot glue gun or crazy glue)
  • Scissors
  • YOUR LITTLE ONES
Step 1

Cut the ribbon to desired length. Try to do some in different lengths so they stand out.

Step 2

Place half an inch of glue on each end of the ribbon

Step 3

Stick Ribbon to the stick and let dry for a minute or two (*recommend glue dries faster)

Step 4

Grab another ribbon and wrap it around the stick covering it from top to bottom or even just the top where the other ribbons are at to kind of to hold them in place.

Step 5

Let them dry another few minutes

Step 6
